Write up from Luke Yeates
We were off to an interesting start to the series with a port / starboard collision at the start of the first race, we were doing U-turns worthy of Downing Street, putting us to the back of the fleet. Second race wasn’t any better over the line by a boat length and then colliding with midnight cowboy left us sailing back to the line and doing another 360. Both races we made good come backs getting on the podium and winning the other. Ending the series with a 2,1,2, and a 2.5 for a draw with current national champion Fearnought. We were using Hyde sails Carbon sport with Dyneema liteskin on the mainsail and Black Technora light-weight headsail for most of the series. Combination of reaching spinnaker and running spinnaker made sure that we remained the fastest downhill in all conditions.
Next series has just began and the first race we were 15 minutes ahead of the back marker with a comfortable win.
