At HYDE SAILS we are committed to giving you the best shopping experience from beginning to end.
To help our customers understand the process' and details of your order we thought it best to explain what happens.
Once the order has been placed, via our online shop. It will be picked up by our 'Orders team', who are based at our factory in CEBU, PHILIPPINES. They will then update it onto our system where upon it will be allocated a production slot.
Productions slots are allocated on a first come first serve basis. This means you, and more importantly we, can have an expected completion date for your product. Our maximum target completion date for your product is 14 days from order.
Now your product is made we have to get your item from with us, in the sail loft, to your boat ready to be enjoyed and there are two ways of doing this.
AIR FREIGHT: If you ordered your item(s) via the online shop, your product will be travelling back to the UK by this method. We use a consolidated service, which means Hyde Sails ships all it goods/orders on one plane every Friday and 6pm (Cebu time UTC + 8). The plane flies through the weekend stopping at Dubai before finally arriving at London Heathrow on Monday.
SEA FREIGHT: At HYDE SAILS we also send a 40ft container at the end of each month, we also send others, however these are large volumes of sails and accessories for individual customers. The container will spend, on average 6 weeks at sea before docking at Southampton, GB.
CUSTOMS CLEARING: Once the item(s) have arrived, either at Heathrow or Southampton, they are customs cleared. This takes about 12 hours if on Airfreight and can take up to 5 days if by Sea Freight. Once complete the items head to Peters & May's warehouse in Southampton.
DISTRIBUTION: Once your parcel is sorted it will be sent out with DPD LOCAL next working day for deliveries in ENGLAND, for European deliveries, these are sent with DHL. 3-4 days is a normal period to expect from customs dispatch to arrival for European orders.
- DPD LOCAL couriers deliver the next working day (unless, delivery address is: off shore; north of Glasgow, or is international). They will leave a card if there is no one able to confirm delivery however as they require a signature on delivery (unless instructed otherwise) it is important to provide us with a manned address for delivery or further instructions. If further instructions are given to leave a parcel in a safe place then this is the customers responsibility to ensure this is safe. We track the courier via satellite tracking to ensure the driver has left it in the correct place but once a parcel has been left it becomes the customers responsibility.
CUSTOMER TO COLLECT: If you are local or passing Peters and May we do offer a collection service. If you would like this option, please let a member of the HYDE SAILS TEAM know before placing your order. That way we can let Peters and May know this.

If you are returning an item or wish to deliver something to us. Firstly, notify an member of the Hyde Sails team. Once that has been done, please deliver to either the Peter's and May address (above) or directly to you nearest Hyde Sails office.
