“A fleet of 26 Cornish Shrimpers headed for the start line of the 2021 Shrimper Open Championships hosted by Mylor Yacht Club. The three - day event was a huge success with sailing teams determined to return for the 2022 event. Racing was tight with just 4 points between the top three boats.
The support by Hyde sails of a “Hyde Sails Jib” drawn from the list of all the entries was presented at the end of the event against great anticipation of those involved. The winner was “Shrimper Pelican” sailed by local helm Richard Lewis.
Richard has since followed up his win with an enquiry for a new mainsail to go with his brand-new jib!
