Hyde Sails Head Sail Designer Richard Lovering and his crew Matt Alvarado are the new Flying 15 National Champions. With consistent results over the past three years this sees them as National Champions in 2015, runners up in 2016 and now winners again!
The 2017 CARRS Land Rover Flying fifteen National Championships were held in Falmouth Bay.
Richie was delighted with the event:
For Matt and I this was an important event, we found Falmouth Bay to be a great location with Race Officer Peter Saxton doing a fantastic job.
Going into the final day we had a one point lead and found the first race of the day didn't go as we would have hoped although we did pull back a 3rd place. With all still to play for we fought hard in the last race, with the increasing squally conditions we pushed through with our last beat just feeling right. The final run to the line we were flying as we surfed down the waves to nail the bullet too!
Our sails are fast and we kept our race tactics smart and clean.
