A highly consistent week in a variety of conditions saw X166 Swallow win their class at Cowes Classics 2022.

Hyde Sails put a lot of work into new sail designs in the 2021 season and the outcome as been a highly successful start to the season with X166 also placing 3rd at Itchenor Kellboat week in light conditions including a win in the final race of the series.

‘A lot of work went into the sail designs in 2021 with myself and Richard Lovering putting a number of hours in both on the design program and on the water to get to where we are now. It’s been great to have got the designs finalised at the end of 2021 and this year has been about small refinements in the setup and getting good time on the water to unlock that last bit of potential’. With the main event of the year to still come racing for the Captain’s Cup in the 100th year of the XOD class racing at Cowes we wish X166 and all the Hyde powered boats the best of luck in this iconic regatta.
